PURE VELOCITY
We wake up excited each morning to help you grow your business.
Let’s do this.
BEGINNING
🌎 Get gritty

Have grit, like Gurt Boyle (Chairwoman of Columbia 1983-2019)
We build businesses for many reasons. Some people are pursuing a passion, others are passionately building a stable income to feed and house their family. Each business is a story of a founder who had the grit to keep going, even when everything seemed doomed to fail.
Stripe is one of the largest payment processors in the world. As of February 2026, more than 5 million businesses use Stripe and the company is estimated to have earned $6.8B in revenue in 2025 from processing $1.9T in payments.
That’s a lot of payments, particularly since they only had 50 customers after their first two years in business. While I can’t promise that your company will earn $6.8B, I can promise that companies with grit are more likely to succeed than those that give up. Stripe nearly gave up, but they chose to keep going. Grit is the essence of stubborn + hard work. Be gritty. You can do this.
Takeaway: Grit = stubborn + hard work. You can do this.
“I don’t make tissues with aloe. I make clothes with grit.”
POWER
🧑 Who is your most likely customer?

Who is your product or service designed to serve? If your answer begins with “Anyone who….” then allow me to introduce the Form Ideal Customer Profile Hypothesis Agent in CorZen. This agent is used to research the customer most likely to benefit from your product before you begin selling.
Companies who craft their messaging, offers, and product requirements for their ideal customer achieve revenue 3-10x faster than companies who build products for anyone who is willing to buy them. Let’s consider a new reusable drink container that is 10% more expensive than a Stanley mug yet is made of 100% post-consumer aluminum that was fished out of the garbage heap in the ocean.
Who might this mug serve? It probably isn’t anyone who wants to take coffee with them. It is for the person who values reusable materials, of high quality, made from materials already extracted out of the earth and wants to do something to heal the planet. The 10% higher price becomes a badge of honor - they buy mugs for six of their friends. Messaging that speaks directly to that person - not “anyone who is thirsty” - will see that ‘Checkout’ button click quickly.
Most young companies (mumble mumble yes, even I have been guilty of this, mumble mumble) worry that if the messaging is too specific, they will lose sales to potential customers. The data points to the exact opposite.
Need help to figure out who your ideal customer is likely to be? The Form Ideal Customer Profile Hypothesis Agent in CorZen provides a research-backed answer along with a plan to quickly test the hypothesis. The agent is available as a stand alone tool in the Agents panel and now appears on relevant project task cards for new projects.
Takeaway: Market to someone, not just anyone, or no one will pay attention.
